THE NEANDERTHAL MAN E.A. Dupont est un metteur en scène très connu à l'époque en Allemagne qui, de passage en Europe, acceptera de réaliser ce "Néanderthal Man" en 1953. Le script est écrit par Aubreyè Wisberg. Le maquillage est crée par Jack Rabin et David Commons et prenait une demie journée de travail pour l'appliquer sur l'acteur Robert Shane qui joue ici le rôle du Professeur Groves qui expérimente un sérum sur sa femme de ménage puis qui se l'appliquera sur lui même. Un film assez terrifiant qui est sorti chez l'ATELIER 13 qui nous offre à nouveau un coffret contenant un press book de l'époque qui nous raconte en détail le tournage du film ainsi qu'une filmographie des acteurs.
